MEET ROBERT MIHARA

A lifetime of service and leadership

Robert’s life has been defined by dedication to service, leadership, and community. A proud graduate of West Point (Class of 1999), Robert served as a commissioned Army officer for two decades, retiring as a lieutenant colonel at Joint Base San Antonio in 2019.

Throughout his military career, Robert took on vital assignments as a commander and strategic planner while stationed in Texas as well as on deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the Bronze Star Medal and other awards. In 2007, he returned to West Point to teach and mentor future leaders as a history professor after earning a graduate degree in history from Texas A&M University at College Station.

After retiring from the Army, Robert pursued his passion for justice and advocacy by earning a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2022. Now a licensed attorney in Texas and Pennsylvania, he dedicates his legal expertise to empowering low- and modest-income individuals in San Antonio and Bexar County, currently serving as interim executive director after having worked as both managing attorney and staff attorney.

As a devoted father to a child with special needs, Robert is a passionate advocate for the rights of individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. He serves on the board of Disability Rights Texas and provides legal assistance to families through Morgan's Multi-Assistance Center, working to give every individual a voice and access to the support that they need.

Robert’s commitment to integrity, service, and community is unwavering, and he is ready to continue fighting for his neighbors in San Antonio's Far West and Southside.
